Hello fellow St. B's 37209 residents! We are excited that you are here. As St. B's grows, we want to establish a smaller community in our own backyard, so we hope this group facilitates us getting to know one another better. For those of you who couldn't make it to our kick-off meeting at my house, we missed you. We look forward to meeting you the next time. Jud and Laura Laughter and I (Whitney Stone) will be helping get things off the ground, but we want this to be a group effort. To that end, please feel free to post anything on this space for the good of the community. We envision this being a place to post specific pleas for help from your neighbors (ie, babysitting, pet sitting, moving (hopefully not!), prayer requests, cool things God is doing in your family, last minute invites to McCabe's for a round of golf or a pint ...
We are planning a few other things this summer, so be sure to check out the blog periodically. I will try to send reminder emails when something is going on, but I won't always remember. The first thing to be on the lookout for is info on a canoe outing on a nearby river a little later this summer. I would also like to propose eating lunch together after the late service (for those of you who can't get up for the early one like me) once a month (1st Sunday of every month). How about we kick it off on Sunday, July 1? I will be a greeter for the 10:30 service, so be sure to introduce yourself if I don't know you already.
